Journal- 1st Week of February
This is the first week of February. It marked the end of the Chinese New Year and life’s back to the boring and usual school, school and school. Just the other day, the Hindus’ celebrated Thaipusam. It was a great festival, given the multiracial community of Malaysia. It reminds me to strictly adhere to our Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak’s New Year Resolution for Malaysia—the famous and brilliant ‘1Malaysia’ concept. I couldn’t help but to admire how the Hindus were able to celebrate a festival that is dedicated to their deity with peace and harmony. Therefore, I think that we, as Malaysians, should celebrate our different cultures but at the same time, respect and accept the difference in other races, and live together with happiness. That’s about my thoughts for the first week of February.
